Studio Ghibli has announced the English language voice cast for The Wind Rises.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt will front Hayao Miyazaki’s film as the voice of aeronautical engineer Jiro Horikoshi.
John Krasinski will play Jiro’s friend and colleague Honjo, with Emily Blunt as his love interest Nahoko Satomi.
Martin Short, Stanley Tucci, Werner Herzog, Jennifer Grey, Elijah Wood, Mandy Patinkin, Darren Criss, William H Macy, Mae Whitman and Ronan Farrow will also feature in the film.
The Wind Rises was the last film Miyazaki made prior to his retirement from the studio.
It centres around Jiro, the man who designed one of the chief fighter planes used by the Japanese in World War II.
The Wind Rises will open in US cinemas from February 21, 2014. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
