I know all the hipsters are gonna shit their pants, but…
I don’t really like The National. I guess I see why people would like them, but they just don’t seem that special to me. Maybe I just haven’t listened to enough of their catalog? Same goes for The xx. Again, I can see what might make them appealing to some, but it’s just not for me. But I’m sure half of the shit that I like, a lot of people wouldn’t. I’m okay with that. In fact, I make music that I know isn’t/won’t be for everybody. And don’t take this as talking shit about these bands. I respect anyone who is making music (not including “bubble gum pop” as my friend says “you chew it up and spit it out” or songs that are just like *SWAGSWAGSWAGSWAG* or wubwubwubwubwub). Being a musician has probably made me a little bitter. Anyways, sorry if that disappoints anyone. But if it makes you wanna talk about music a bit more in depth, I’m always here to talk or trade suggestions. :)

I’ve seen her floating around the interweb of music, but hadn’t heard her until now. I’m glad that R&B has evolved recently, James Blake, Jessie Ware, How To Dress Well. It’s moving in the right direction.
